THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FUTURE (2016)
This was supposed to be the future is a dance, theatre and multi media performance that playfully rips apart the story and attempts to imagine a new one. Because the old story is dead.
An anarchic and poetic deconstruction of the stories we tell ourselves.
Using history, biography, fiction, childhood photo albums, manifestos and punk rock to rewrite the multiplicities of the past and imagine new ways of looking to the future.
Created in collaboration with Natasha Barhedia (Mexico)
Featuring sound design by Migeul Mesa
Multimedia design: Dalia Huerte
This was supposed to be the future premiered in November 2016 at LARVA (Laboratorio de arte variedades) Guadalajara, Mexico as part of a residency supported by MURTA Contemporary Art Museum. It returned to LARVA in July 2017.
